Bayi Gardiya (Singing Desert) is an immersive, 360 degree moving image and sound experience.
The environment within Bayi Gardiya situates a visitor in the creek bed of The Sixth Mile, Barcaline, western Queensland. The imagery and sound within transforms from morning to midday and then to twilight and night. These transitions also shift through seasonal change to represent and also comment on the impacts of Global Warming on the fragile, semi-desert Hinterland and country represented in the work.
